Girl Scout Map

For this project, I wanted to create a map that felt exciting and fun for young campers to use. I designed a vibrant, illustrated map that fits inside a custom slip worn around the neck, allowing campers to easily carry it with them while exploring the outdoors.

 

Along with helping campers navigate the space, the map includes important locations and details they need during their stay. I also designed the back as a fun safety guide featuring things to look out for in nature, including poison ivy, ticks, black bears, and yellowjackets. This idea was inspired by my own experiences at camp. I remember not having a map during my camp stays and wishing I had something like this to help me explore and feel more comfortable in my surroundings. Creating a colorful, wearable map was a fun way to design something I would have loved to use myself.
